Purpose of Role

Reporting to the North American CISO this role is accountable for receiving and responding to routine requests for security support, maintaining records and informing others of actions taken.

As an Identity Engineer you will:

• Assist in the investigation and resolution of issues relating to access controls and security systems.

• Document incident and event information and produce incident, exception, and management reports.

• Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor simple IAM programs/scripts.

• Apply agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.

• Occasionally contribute to routine issue resolution

In the course of this work, you will interact and collaborate with your immediate colleagues. You may also have occasional contact with customers, suppliers and partners and represent their needs.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate that you have gained and can apply essential generic knowledge typically found in industry bodies. You will have a basic domain knowledge and be able to absorb and apply current information when it is presented systematically. You will work as part of a team with regular supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Tools configuration/management/maintenance – daily – provide simple or more complex updates to IAM tools, using IAM best practices and documented change procedures.

• Problem analysis/troubleshooting – daily – assist with system issues that arise in IAM tools. Communicate with teammates or other associates to gather information about the problem, then analyze for a resolution. Participate in problem bridges. Escalate to senior associates or management as needed.

• Access daily inquiries – answer simple or more complex inquiries regarding IAM tools functionality and processes. • Application onboarding into identity platform (Okta)

• Follow and promote best practices – use tools provided and follow IAM best practices when resolving and communicating in all areas of work.

• Documentation – monthly – assist in keeping procedural documentation up to date. Seek guidance from senior associates or leadership when needed.

Skills and Experiences required Level of Education

• Ample experience OR Education of Associates or bachelor’s degree in related field

• Certifications: Security+, CISM, CISA, CISSP, or related security certification Work Experience

• Experience with PAM tools, certificate management tools, user behavioral tools, access recertification tools, JML processes, RBAC

• Configuring Okta, Active Directory/Powershell, IAM best practices

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication skills for effective dialogue with customers, suppliers, and partners.

• Able to plan, schedule and monitor own work within short deadlines and demonstrate a methodical and organised approach to work.

• Able to understand and use appropriate methods, tools, and applications

• Experience of complying with essential organisational security practices.
