We have developed for Arquia Banca, an entity specialized in the service to professionals, the first Home Banking app in Spain that allows users to access their accounts without the need for passwords.

Thanks to FacePhi’s facial recognition system, a gesture as simple as a selfie is enough for the user to check their bank accounts quickly, simply and safely.

The integration of this system, already available, is a definitive step in the commitment to digitalization, offering an improved user experience with the maximum guarantee of security. In addition, the limitations of the physical network of offices in the national territory are solved, being able to access the accounts from the Smartphone.

Thanks to the work of our Mobile team, Arquia customers can access their bank accounts anytime, anywhere, whatever the operating system of their mobile (Android, iOS or WP). Launched a few months ago, the app is now completed with the integration of FacePhi facial recognition, called Selphi, a plus in terms of accessibility, speed and comfort. It is enough for the user to stand in front of the phone’s camera in selfie mode, and the system will recognize their facial features accurately, unequivocally and safely. It also identifies the Smartphone from which the access is made and maintains the requirement of additional passwords to carry out operations, so this new system does not imply transactional risk.

In addition, thanks to the use of Xamarin technology (Microsoft) it has been possible to reduce efforts, costs and resources, since it allows to develop the app only once and have it available on any device, be it Windows Phone, iOS or Android. The Arquia Banca app is the first home banking app developed entirely in Xamarin in Spain.
