Menu management application

We have developed for Sodexo an application to provide the client with a fast and comfortable menu generation system, and to be able to perform the maintenance of them, facilitating the task through touch technologies.

Designed for desktop use, the app was developed using Microsoft’s Universal Windows Platform, offering advantages both for touch-based applications and for its fluidity on Windows mobile devices like the Lumia 950. This allows us to work with the phone as if it were a desktop environment thanks to Continuum technology.

Since 1976, Sodexo has been offering Quality of Life Services for companies, institutions, hospitals and senior centers, schools, universities, etc. Its full-service solutions offering includes On-site Services (comprehensive facility management services) and Benefits and Incentive Services (employee benefits, incentives and recognition, public subsidies). Today, the company employs more than 4,500 people nationwide, and more than 425,000 people benefit from Sodexo’s services every day.

Description

In this application we integrate with the client’s internal domain server to perform the login. Its main objective is to access a menu and have an overall view of it, and among its features is the option to modify the menu structure in an easy, simple and tactile way, as well as the maintenance of the products, recipes and ingredients that will be part of it. Since UWP does not allow to generate dialogs as it would be the usual desktop case, as it would not be usable on mobile devices, we have created a multi-tab system where each tab keeps the connection information and allows us to navigate from it at any time, allowing us to compare, for example, several menus, without causing an increase in our workload.
