Warehouse Application (WHAPP)

We developed for Vivace Logística an order management application that has allowed us to optimize to the maximum all the processes that were being carried out routinely in the reception of items in the warehouse. From the old hand annotation system, we have evolved to an automatic barcode reading and scanning application, with the advantage of significant cost and time savings. Thanks to the Warehouse Application (WHAPP) developed by the Pasiona team, the customer has experienced an increase in the traceability of packages and a significant agility in warehouse processes. It has also allowed him to extend the benefits of using the application to the management of inventory procedures, item searches and item relocations.

Vivace Logística SA is a logistics operator specialized in the picking service (preparation of orders of single units of products). Since its foundation in 2001, it has been providing its logistic services to companies from different sectors, such as textile-shoes and home, childcare, office material, cosmetics-perfumery, internet sales, promotional and auxiliary material for pharmacies, publishing, health, public administrations, mass consumption campaigns, etc. Technological innovation, service quality and personalized attention are some of its corporate hallmarks.

Description

From the Mobile department the bet on Xamarin. Android was clear given the goal of optimizing performance and display as much as possible, while saving testing time on other platforms. For the challenge of ensuring that an indefinite number of operators could work with the same input or inventory simultaneously and the data would be equally updated at all times, Android services were implemented by attacking the API, which allow such synchrony. In order to maintain the connection with Vivace Logística’s current system, a secure Api Rest was created that works with the client’s database and keeps all the environments up to date. Finally, an automatic update and deployment system was generated, since the application does not go through the stores. Vivace’s control over this system is total.
