The future of work is changing rapidly as a result of the evolution of digital technology, globalization and the development of an increasingly advanced population, as well as other fundamental requirements in the future of organizations.

The hiring of professionals in the ICT sector will skyrocket by 40% until 2020, according to data from the report Employment in IT 2017 Professions with a Future, prepared by Infoempleo and Deloitte. This data confirms the economic evolution that technology companies have been dragging behind them for almost a decade, reaching 86,574.4 million euros in turnover, according to the latest data available from the National Institute of Statistics (INE). It opens the door to a real challenge: are we professionally prepared for the new labor scenario that is drawn in the ICT sector?

The IT hypersector has experienced great growth in most countries of the European Union. The demand for technological employment is constant, real and does not seem to be slowing down, judging by the figures of a sector that has not noticed the crisis: only during 2016 a total of 3,595 technology companies were created, according to Infoempresa data collected by pasiona. Given this reality, continuous training and specialization will be essential values to cover the professions of the future, 75% of which do not yet exist or are being created.

Faced with these data, from pasiona we defend a call to the opportunity that supposes a correct training in the technological sector. “The growth of our workforce has been 30% in the last year,” says David Teixidó, CEO of pasiona. “We find ourselves with a continuous need not only to incorporate new members to the team, but to have increasingly specialized profiles and with very specific knowledge and skills to adapt them to our work methodology and new technologies,” he adds. The solution is to train them from the company, and the success is resounding: “more than 90% of the students who do internships through the Dual FP program in passion, stay with us”, concludes Teixidó.
