Pasiona and Salesians Sarrià come together to give added value to Dual Vocational Training

Great news. We have just signed with Salesians de Sarrià, a pioneer school in Vocational Training, a collaboration agreement by which we commit ourselves to cooperate in the educational development of students in the technological environment.

From Pasiona, as a reference company in the ICT sector, we will facilitate the labor insertion of FPDual students through internships that will provide them with detailed knowledge of the day to day of the sector.

Five Salesians students have already started their internship in our offices in the 22@ district of Barcelona. The training period will last one and a half years, enough time for students to assimilate the required knowledge.

Students come from the Higher Degree course in Web Application Development, where they have acquired knowledge in web programming, databases, information management systems and web interface designs, among many other specialties. The complement of this stay thus becomes a good opportunity to open up to the professional world working in a real context. “We need to have very specialized technicians who acquire very specific skills and abilities, and there is no better way to guarantee them than to train them, prepare them in practice as a complement to their regulated training, with the plus of doing it in the business context itself,” explains our director, David Teixidó.

The selected students have profiles in which they not only stand out for their good academic records, but also for their predisposition and very positive personal skills.

In the current academic year 2015-2016, the Salesians Sarrià school has achieved that 90% of its cycles can be carried out with the Dual modality if the students wish. “Vocational training has to be linked to the business world and we strive to maintain a close relationship with companies, which is why it is very important to sign this agreement with Pasiona”, clarifies José Abascal, Director of Salesians Sarrià.
