Pasiona is already part of the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training
Our CEO, David Teixidó, and Francisco Belil, Vice-President of the Bertelsmann Foundation, today closed Pasiona’s membership of the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training.
The Alliance is an initiative promoted by the Bertelsmann Foundation together with the Princess of Girona Foundation, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the CEOE, whose main objective is to bring together companies, institutions and educational centers committed to Dual Vocational Training to improve the employability of young people in Spain.
The link between companies and educational centers is basic and essential to guarantee the best training of present and future, especially in the ICT sector, where specialization is key to its development. Therefore, from Pasiona we wanted to reinforce our commitment to maintain a constant and stable relationship with the training centers, so that they contribute to the development of the network and to a quality education oriented to the labor market with all the guarantees and the greatest involvement.
Currently eleven students of Salesians de Sarrià, an educational center adhered to the Alliance, specifically of the Higher Degree of Web Application Development (DAW) and the Higher Degree of Multiplatform Application Development (DAM), are complementing their learning with us. In this context, we have recently received a visit from the delegation of educators and representatives of the City Council of Turin (Italy) to show them our experience in Dual Vocational Training.
“We detected the need for very specialized technicians with very specific skills and abilities,” said our CEO, David Teixidó. The best way to achieve this, he added in this regard, is “to train them, prepare them in practice as a complement to their regulated training, with the plus of doing it in the business context itself, and hence our commitment to the Dual FP format as the perfect way to achieve it”.
For his part, Francisco Belil, Vice-President of the Bertelsmann Foundation, said that “the Alliance needs companies that are committed to Dual Vocational Training and that welcome apprentices because they really believe that it is a way of growth for the company. In this sense, Pasiona is a clear example and therefore is also a great ally to disseminate and promote the model in Spain”.
