Digital transformation, training and employment: keys for the new generations of IT professionals

Pol Torras 18/06/2019

Technology is the language spoken by people and companies in 2019 and the high demand for qualified professionals in the sector makes it clear: 350,000 unfilled jobs for the telecommunications sector in Spain and more than 900,000 throughout Europe.

Software developers or designers and UX, among other professionals, continue to be highly demanded profiles in the sector. In fact, a global look at the labor market shows that, today, four of the most sought-after profiles belong to the IT sector. They are professionals who focus on technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain or video games in virtual reality devices.
These and other data we presented a few days ago at the Litterator School of Aranjuez (Madrid). There we held a training session in technology and employment for students of secondary education, baccalaureate and FP. A talk where our colleagues José Luis Martínez, Martín Vega and María Cubillo touched on different points of interest such as that great demand for qualified professionals in the IT sector.

With this session carried out by the Pasiona team, we wanted to review the current state of technologies in Spain. As for the demand for professionals in the IT sector in Spain, in the last year there have been almost 11,000 new bidding positions, almost 75% of which are permanent contracts. Programmer and web analyst have been the most demanded.
One of the points of utmost importance, given the audience to which the talk was addressed, was that of the training and orientation options: what paths these secondary, baccalaureate or vocational training students can take, to train in the sector, and become specialized professionals, in the new generations of IT.
A great experience in which we try to shed light on the options of professional future of the sector to all attendees and that we will repeat very soon, to continue promoting the growth of the IT sector in Spain. Here you have the presentation:
