Home automation, research and talent: this is our second offices in the district of 22 @

We continue to set milestones. After closing 2018 with a turnover of 8 million euros, we have just opened a second office in the 22@ business district of Barcelona, an international benchmark in R+D.

The new space has involved an investment of more than € 150,000 and has been conceived as a hub for research and talent training in which home automation, Artificial Intelligence and personal assistants have a prominent role. We live in 22@ with international giants such as Amazon, Oracle or Facebook, which have opted for the Innovation District for the landing of their most cutting-edge technology centers. Not surprisingly, Barcelona already occupies the fourth position in the world in the ranking of cities most prepared for the technological future, according to PWC.

A sustained growth rate of between 10 and 20% per year in both turnover and personnel has led us to need a second headquarters in 22@. “The current offices, our flagship, have become too small for a team that does not stop growing” and that already exceeds 160 employees, says David Teixidó, our general manager. The forecasts for this 2019 are optimistic: we expect to reach a turnover of nine and a half million euros and a team that will increasingly approach 200 employees, as stated in this publication about Pasiona in Diario Expansión.

“2019 will be a key year for Pasiona in terms of investment in innovation and talent training. Technology advances at a dizzying pace and adapting to the new scenario requires special effort and attention,” says David Teixidó. The new offices, on Carrer Bac de Roda, have the infrastructure, equipment and resources necessary to tackle the most cutting-edge and technologically demanding projects.

This new space is a building of more than 500 square meters with capacity for 60 employees. An “Innovation hub from which we will promote talent training, research into IT trends and the implementation of the most cutting-edge technologies,” concludes Teixidó.

In line with the Pasiona philosophy, it is a modern and diaphanous space, in which home automation, Artificial Intelligence and the use of integrated personal assistants have a very prominent role. Recreation areas with table tennis and grass, parking for bikes and charger for scooters complete the services of our new offices in the business district of 22@ Barcelona.
